Mac-Lad Corp is a family-owned and operated building material supplier based in New York and Connecticut since 1986. The owner, Ray MacAlpine, is a veteran of the Tri-State building material supply industry. Back in the late 80’s he realized that he could deliver drywall (and building materials) better than the competition. He founded Mac-Lad Corp. with the idea that the potential of any business lies within the people. Ray has been running the company by this service motto since day-one. It is the main standard that all of Mac-Lad’s employees are held to. A lot of the other building material suppliers on Long Island have forgotten this, especially as the number of corporate consolidations have been increasing.
While most of the other building material suppliers on Long Island simply drop the material, we make sure to place the materials on site in exactly the way the customer wants. Sometimes this means spending more time on the job, but our drivers understand this and are held to a higher standard. We expect the best from them and they deliver (pun intended)!
Mac-Lad now has a core group of employees in our New York and our two Connecticut locations to help you. Even though we have expanded, we keep that small family feel. All of Ray’s three children even work at the company! We deliver all the way to Vermont and New Jersey from the Connecticut location. While our New York branch services Manhattan to Montauk (and beyond) every day.
